Abstract: Investment fell sharply in Europe as a result of the global financial crisis and the subsequent recession. While being symmetric for most large scale economies, those events have left heavy strains on the post-crisis performance of Italy. Ultimately the Eib has been also active in supporting and financing investments in Italy, developing new and innovative products
