Abstract: The Financial Stability Board has recently identified some foundational elements that contribute to the promotion of a sound risk culture within a financial institution and consistently support appropriate risk awareness, behaviours and judgements about risk-taking within a strong risk governance framework. Also in Italy the Bank of Italy has paid great attention to the risk culture issue, introducing specific provisions in the recent Internal control systems regulation
