Abstract: The commons have always stimulated the interest of scholars of different social sciences (particularly in the field of law), and have been the subject of innovative research by Elinor Ostrom, Nobel Prize for Economics in 2009.The commons are, since the feudal era, the collective and undivided ownership of portions of land left to the resident population of a given area for their livelihood. Commons over time have become phenomena of social organization which include in their definition all the natural resources belonging to a community.
