Abstract:
The new capital requirements outlined by Basel 3 impose to banks operational and strategic choices to adapt to the higher capital standards. But, what are the best solutions and what interventions are necessary and possible? This work, based on a sample of 10 Italian banking groups, tries to give an answer to these questions, analyzing advantages and disadvantages of the different choices and influential constraints
