Abstract: Banks play a decisive role in financing enterprises, especially Smes, and in supporting economy. In this context, the credit model based on relationship lending needs significant changes both in terms of supply and demand. The results of a survey carried out on lending in Veneto Region help to understand the evolution and perspectives of the new credit models which involve firms in providing qualitative and forward-looking information and banks in increasing information and transparency concerning the evaluation and pricing process of the loans
