Short-term Unemployment - Strategies and Policies for its Limitation

Abstract:
The investigation is on the recently quite important problem for Bulgaria - the long-term unemployment and the measures against it. The main approaches and policies applied in developed countries and in our country have been presented. The main conclusion, that follows is that under the conditions of low economic growth, the policies can not be effective. In the developed countries the purpose is the employment restructuring. In Bulgaria only negative changes in the structure of unemployed have been observed. The policies, that have to approach them have the character of sanitary minimum of activities for eventualy receiving of a new job.
