Mariana Bozhinova
Economic Studies journal, 2005, issue 3, 151-174
Abstract:
The modern market economy could not develop without a well-structured and constantly improving market infrastructure. The organized commodity markets are considered its key elements. This article examines the legislatively created commodity markets – commodity exchanges and wholesale markets. The necessity of their development is explained, their state is analyzed and conclusions are drawn regarding their main problems: the low level of the trade with agricultural goods; the lack of futures trade on the commodity exchanges; the need for raising the brokers qualification; the creation of Internet-based unified system for electronic commerce. In consequence of this solutions are offered in order to approve the work of the organized commodity markets.
