Foreign Trade of Bulgaria with Balkan Area Countries in the Transition Period

Abstract:
The foreign trade of Bulgaria with Balkan area countries, non-EU members, has been examined for the period 1992–2008. The main reasons for the foreign trade state with these countries were indicated. The leading branches and commodities’ groups in the trade exchange have been outlined and the main trends in the exportation and importation commodities structure have been generalized. The results from the concluded free trade agreements have been estimated. For the information provision of the trade exchange analysis were used the created by the author of the research study statistical time series at a branch level, according the “Classification of National Economy Sectors” from 1986, for the period 1986-2000 and by commodities groups of the Harmonized system – for the period 1992-2008.
