Statistical estimate for unidimensional and multi-dimensional attributes, evaluated on the basis of questionnaire surveys data

Georgi Mishev

Economic Thought journal, 2010, issue 1, 73-80

Abstract: This article presents an approach suggested by the author for calculation of a standardized score for uni-dimensional and multi-dimensional attributes on the basis of data from questionnaire surveys. This standardized score is obtained as an unnamed quantity. There are no limitations for the utilization of the standardized score. It is applicable no matter what is the nature of the studied phenomena. The approach is based on a methodology developed by the author for quantitative evaluation of multi-dimensional attributes performed on the basis of measurements on uni-dimensional attributes at the units of observation in a studied population. The uni-dimensional attributes characterize the core components of the studied multi-dimensional attribute and are treated as a system characterizing the respective complex attribute.
