Iskra Panteleeva

Economic Thought journal, 2014, issue 1, 80-94

Abstract: The latest roles of the human resources managers in industrial businesses are revealed in this study. They are based on the concept, that the dynamic changes in the environment, the characteristics of the production activity and the specific features of human resources determine the trends in the behavior of these professionals and their modified roles. The causes for the changes are reviewed systematically. The recent tendencies and the key contradictions impeding their implementation are outlined. The author is of the opinion, that an integrated systematic, structural, complex and flexible approach should be applied to define the roles and to align them with the other components, expressing the essential aspects of the activities of HR managers and specialists in industrial businesses.
