Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of environmental settlement through class action. The research method used in this research is normative juridical which is supported by empirical data. In a Class Action lawsuit, a person or more who file a lawsuit to the Court represent other interests based on common interests and the existence of a common problem. Settlements for the environment are less effective, this is due to a lack of knowledge from the public and law enforcers themselves regarding the procedures for a representative lawsuit.
