Abstract: This study used a testing approach to explore the relationship between formal leadership and organizational commitment. This research investigated the correlations between formal leadership and organizational commitment. The empirical result documented that there is a significant positive relationship between action control (AC) and organizational commitment (OC), and there is also a significant positive relationship between result control (RC) and organizational commitment (OC). A positive and significant relationship exists between organizational commitment, result control, and action control.
