Abstract: Technology plays a vital role in people’s daily lives and can be efficiently used in a variety of educational settings. YouTube is considered a useful internet resource that can be utilised in English classes. It is also regarded as a source of internet content that can be quite useful in the field of teaching and learning. This study explores the impact of YouTube as a medium of English language learning in enhancing fluency and pronunciation skills among the students. The research delves into the role of YouTube in English language learning, especially in speaking skills and the benefits of using YouTube in English language learning. The methodology involves collecting data from previous studies and the techniques of collecting data is by focusing on the articles retrieved from the internet throughout the last five years, beginning in 2019 and finishing in 2023. The articles were hand-picked and thoroughly vetted – search keywords related to YouTube English Channel. Then, the findings are categorised by two groups; The role of YouTube in English language learning and the benefits of using YouTube in English language learning. The results from this study show positive outcomes of using YouTube as a medium of English language learning. English language learners, teachers, and institutions can consider utilising YouTube as a primary medium for learning English, particularly for developing speaking skills. They can incorporate practical training and various other tasks to enhance the learning experience.
