Abstract: The study was conducted to investigate the difficulties, issues, and challenges of junior high school teachers of Bukidnon National High School in conducting action research. Specifically, the study aimed to identify the difficulties, issues, and challenges, and their coping mechanism in addressing their difficulties, issues, and challenges in conducting action research, and formulate recommendations and insights of the teachers to address the difficulties, issues, and challenges they had experienced. The study utilized a qualitative research design using phenomenological analysis. The participants of the study were five teachers coming from the different departments in our school. They were purposively selected such that each of them has completed at least one research project. A face-to-face interview was conducted with all of the participants. The instrument being used was a semi-structured interview tool in which the participants were asked to answer the five open-ended questions. The qualitative data gathered was analyzed using thematic analysis.
