Mnemonics Strategies in Teaching Food and Beverage Services Lesson among Grade Eleven Learners in Taal Senior High School

Abstract: Education could take place in formal or informal settings and any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. The methodology of teaching is called pedagogy. The Technical Vocational Livelihood or TVL Track is one of the track S offered under Senior High School programs in the Philippines. The program was designed to provide students with job-ready skills that they will need in the future. This study aimed to determine the retention level of the grade eleven learners using mnemonics strategy to execute the flow of serving food to the customers in Food and Beverage Services lesson. The researcher employed quantitative research utilizing teacher-made-test and demonstration to assess the performance of the learners and the causes of low retention of learners at the beginning of the quarter. Moreover, the observation checklist was utilized to determine the ability of the learners in the demonstration of the lesson at the end of the quarter. The result of the findings was based on the responses of the respondents.
