Abstract: In recent years, the field of education and professional collaboration have experienced a profound shift, primarily driven by the rapid progress of digital technologies. While the benefits of online group work have been extensively studied, there remains a need for further exploration of its nuances, particularly concerning the concept of “presence.†This study is done to explore perception of learners on cognitive, social and teaching presence. A quantitative study was used and a purposive sample of 196 participants responded to the survey. Findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between all types of presence in online group work among the pre-degree learners. Valuable insights on the design of online lessons which employed group work can be gained to enhance and improve online teaching and learning practices.
