Abstract: This study investigates the comparative quality of feedback provided by specialist versus non-specialist lecturers to student teachers in Southern Province, Zambia, focusing on clarity, constructiveness, timeliness, and influence on instructional methods. In Zambia’s teacher education landscape, both lecturer types contribute to practicum feedback, yet specialist feedback, aligned with subject expertise, may offer unique advantages for student teacher development.
