Abstract: In the post-pandemic world, remote work has become an essential part of the global professional landscape. Alongside the flexibility and autonomy, it offers, remote work introduces new challenges in emotional management and workplace communication. Emotional labour, traditionally associated with face-to-face service roles, is increasingly relevant in digitally mediated work environments. This conceptual paper explores the role of emotional labour in remote work settings and its potential influence on job satisfaction. By drawing from established emotional labour theories and contemporary studies on remote work, the paper aims to provide a theoretical framework that enhances understanding of emotional dynamics in virtual workplaces. It also discusses organizational implications and directions for future research.
