Abstract: This paper delves into the influence of Malaysian local culture on theme resort design. By utilizing a mixed – methods approach, including literature reviews, case studies, and surveys, it explores how cultural elements are integrated into resorts, the impact on tourist experiences, and the challenges faced. The findings indicate that Malaysian culture significantly enriches theme resort design, yet challenges such as maintaining authenticity and balancing cultural and modern elements exist. Strategies to address these challenges are proposed, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of Malaysian theme resorts and promote cultural tourism.
