Abstract: Rising waves of crimes and criminalities have raised a lot of concerns among the Nigerian people about the levels of performance of the Nigeria Police Force, an organization responsible for maintaining internal security of lives and properties in the country. The purpose of this research was to explore factors that impacted work performance among personnel of the Nigeria Police Force. Primary quantitative data were obtained from personnel of the Nigeria Police Force in Osun State through systematic sampling technique. Work performance was regressed jointly on work environment, monochronicity, polychronicity, intrinsic and extrinsic factors and the results revealed that polychronicity, intrinsic and extrinsic factors significantly predicted work performance among personnel of the force; while work environment and monochronicity had no significant effects on work performance among the staff of the Nigeria Police Force. It is recommended that management of Nigeria Police Force and Police Service Commission restructure content of policing job so as to encourage multitasking as well as rewarding personnel with career advancement and improved pay packages.
