Self-Awareness Experiences of the Teachers in Manay National High School Using Enneagram System

Abstract: This qualitative study explored the self-awareness experiences of the teachers in Manay National High School using the Enneagram System. There were 24 teachers who underwent a workshop for the Enneagram and self-awareness practices. After the activity, six teachers were chosen as the key informants of the study. The qualitative data were gathered using the responses of the informants in an in-depth interview. The results were analyzed through a thematic analysis which are the basis of discussion and implication. The teachers were all given a self-awareness journal to record their daily responses to the self-awareness practices and keep track of their progress. Based on their experiences, the following themes have emerged: Mindfulness, Self-management, and Self-transformation. Therefore, the teachers can use the self-awareness practices and their benefits to attain personal development and lessen emotional stress. An intervention program was also given to the teachers according to the emerging themes and discussions.
