Optimizing Adopt-A-School Program (ASP) through Stakeholders’ Engagement: Basis for a Strategic Action Plan

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the implementation of the Adopt-A-School Program (ASP) and stakeholder participation in related activities, to formulate a strategic action plan to enhance program effectiveness. By examining how structured collaboration among government entities, private organizations, and community members influences educational outcomes, the research sought to identify mechanisms to optimize ASP’s impact on public school development. A quantitative descriptive-correlational design was employed, with data collected from 295 participants, including school heads and teachers, using a validated researcher-made questionnaire. Statistical analysis included weighted mean to assess implementation levels and stakeholder participation, standard deviation to measure variability in responses, and Spearman correlation to determine the relationship between variables. Findings revealed a significant and strong positive correlation (r = 0.752, p = 0.000) between ASP implementation and stakeholder participation, indicating that improved program execution fosters heightened stakeholder engagement. Descriptive statistics further showed that stakeholders demonstrated a high level of involvement in activities such as resource mobilization, curriculum support, and infrastructure development. However, disparities in participation intensity were noted across sectors, underscoring the need for targeted engagement strategies.
