Abstract:
This paper investigates how corporate sustainability relates to performance of plastic manufacturing companies in Anambra State, Nigeria. In particular, it looks at how product innovation and recycling affect the profitability of these companies. Based on the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) Theory, which stresses economic, social, and environmental sustainability, the paper underlines the need for companies to include sustainability into their business plans. Using a descriptive survey research approach, the study aimed at managers and staff members of 15 plastic manufacturing companies in Anambra State, with a total population of 3,112. A multistage stratified proportional sampling method picked a sample size of 600 respondents using the Krejcie and Morgan statistical table. Using Spearman’s Correlation and the Paired Sample T-test in SPSS version 23, structured questionnaires provided data that were evaluated.
