Abstract: In today’s digital world, social media plays a huge role in shaping how people behave, and that includes how they view things like paying taxes. This paper looks into how social media campaigns can encourage people to comply with tax laws, focusing on three main factors: word of mouth (WOM), choosing the right platforms, and how to engage users. By going through various studies, this paper creates a framework that shows how these elements work together to improve tax compliance. The key argument here is that when social media strategies are well designed, they can do more than just raise awareness about tax duties. They can also help build a sense of community, create social pressure, and spark intrinsic motivation for people to pay taxes willingly. These findings lay the groundwork for future research and suggest practical ways that governments can use social media more effectively in encouraging tax compliance.
