Journal of BRSA Banking and Financial Markets, 2013, vol. 7, issue 2, 55-75

Abstract: Aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between two investor sentiment proxies, namely closed end fund discount and consumer confidence index. Monthly closed end fund discount and consumer confidence index data have been derived for the time period between 2005 and 2012. The relationship between variables, has been analyzed by correlation analysis and Engle-Granger cointegration test. Findings suggest that there is a long run relationship between closed end fund discount and consumer confidence index.
