Abstract: Purpose: The paper elucidates that the ideology and actions of terrorists is opposite of what Koran (final testament and the highest authentic source of Islamic law) and Sunnah (traditions of the final messenger Mohammed PBUH) communicated. Methodology: The author sourced and quoted Koran and the authentic Hadith to indicate that suicide and indiscriminate killing of innocent and non-combatants as well as destruction of properties is prohibited in Islam. Findings: The article found that there is no relationship between Islamic faith and terrorism. Lives, property, and believes of non-Muslims are protected by Islamic Sharia, sometimes far better than Muslims. Terrorists always target and exploit innocent children and the new reverts who have limited knowledge about Islam to propagate their ideology. Unique contribution to theory, practice, and policy: The article elucidated the opposite of what majority of non-Muslims and some Muslims with limited knowledge about Islam believe. Groups undertaking terrorism actions in the name of Islam are after their own ideology and objectives, and as indicated by the different verses of the Quran and Hadiths by prophet Mohammed, human life is sacred regardless of faith, color, and ethnic group.
