Abstract:
The article notes the formation and development of the category "human capital", its role in ensuring economic development, the importance of using human potential, the importance of the unity of its internal and external aspects. It also reflects the awareness of the importance of using human potential in economic development, turning it into an object of research, the emergence of the need to expand the scope of research in this direction. The contribution of representatives of the main scientific directions to the development of the category “human capital”, individual components of intellectual capital, methods of their measurement and ways of creating effective management systems are described in detail, the views of various researchers in this field are systematized. Also, in the study of the category "human potential", a comparative analysis of political-economic, technocratic, anthropocentric approaches was carried out.
