Abstract: This study investigates workplace support and employees' work motivation and their mutual relationships in a healthcare setting. It attempts to partly test Eisenberger's theory of perceived organizational support in the given context. A total of 400 questionnaires were collected from a large public-sector healthcare organization. Chi-square, cross tabulation and correlation statistics was applied to analyze the data. Results showed an association between the variables and high degree of consistency with that of previous studies. The study also confirmed 'flexible hours' as a viable dimension of workplace support which was not delineated by earlier studies.
