New infrastructures for a sounder financial system

Abstract: In the current transactions-based financial system, systemic breakdowns associated with liquidity failures become more likely when market participants and regulators have imperfect information about the potential liquidity flows and risk distribution in the system. Trade repositories are designed, in part, to address this problem.
