The pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the response to it are creating a tsunami of rehabilitation needs. This white paper offers a comprehensive guide to designing effective rehabilitation strategies for individuals recovering from COVID-19. With a focus on treating respiratory and neuromuscular dysfunctions, the rehabilitation demands of COVID-19 survivors are becoming more widely acknowledged. Focused on restoring functional independence, the paper addresses key considerations in the rehabilitation process, including musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, and psychosocial aspects.
