Abstract: This article discusses the issue of managing the competitiveness of IT companies in a crisis. Today in Ukraine and around the world, the study of increasing competitiveness is given much attention, because the world economy is experiencing an annual increase in competition. The winners in the competition are those companies that effectively organize their business. Examples of suchenterprisesgiven in the study. The main trends in the development of the IT industry in Ukraine as a whole, by enterprises and compare the indicators of the Ukrainian industry with world indicators. The article also examines the impact of IT companies on economic growth of the country, because in modern conditions it is the competitiveness, innovation and productivity of enterprises in the study area. In 2020, the Ukrainian IT industry responded to global economic changes by slowing growth, with most customers reviewing their business processes and optimizing them for the challenges of the corona crisis. However, having effectively overcome external and internal challenges, the IT industry soon regained its position. This was due to the restoration of demand in the global market, as well as maintaining high quality and competitive price, even when switching to a completely remote mode. The paper substantiates the dynamic development of the Ukrainian IT industry in recent years, as well as in times of crisis. The article also assesses the impact of the IT industry on the country’s economy and shows its contribution to the country’s GDP. The number and importance of IT specialists in achieving and maintaining the competitiveness of IT companies, which are currently moving to foreign companies with a high level of work motivation, which cannot be provided by Ukrainian companies, was analyzed and assessed. However, based on the study, possible ways to improve the work of IT companies to increase competitiveness in the IT sector have been identified.
