Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problem of delineating spatial challenges to the economic system of industrial enterprises in ways of eliminating their effects in modern conditions. The relevance of the study is due to the need for timely adaptation of industrial enterprises to the negative manifestations of the external environment, possible threats and risks, it is important to build an effective system of economic security of industrial enterprises. On the basis of an analytical study of indicators of the industry of Ukraine, the main general problems of the development of industrial enterprises have been identified, which include: insufficient investment resources, wear and tear of fixed assets, low efficiency of production, low competitiveness of products of industrial enterprises of higher technological systems on the international market, low innovative activity and technological ability and innovative-technological orientation, high resource and energy intensity of industrial production. The main spatial risks of the activity of industrial enterprises are substantiated, including: a critical decrease in demand for products, the risk of losing sales markets due to changes in logistics flows, disruption of supply chains of raw materials for industrial production and, as a result, a shortage of materials and components, deepening the risk of industry monopolization. Taking into account the modern challenges caused by the military operations on the territory of Ukraine, new risks of the activity of industrial enterprises are singled out, including: disruption of internal and interregional economic and production ties; complete blocking or disruption of supply and/or sales logistics routes; loss of labor potential; lack of a sufficient number of equipped sites for the relocation of enterprises; absence or impossibility of connecting industrial enterprises to the necessary engineering networks; lack of qualified specialists. Directions for mitigating the negative manifestation of spatial challenges regarding industrial enterprises in the conditions of military operations taking place on the territory of Ukraine are proposed.
