Abstract: Trends in changes in the principles of production processes organization under the influence of drastic changes in the external environment are shown in the article. It has been studied how the principles of the organization of production processes are formed. What role does the application of these principles play in the development of the economy. Studies have shown that the principles of the production processes organization were formed back in the 20th century and have not been thoroughly researched or developed since that time. The purpose of the study is the analysis of the principles of production processes organization, the study of actual changes in approaches to the production processes organization. The hypothesis that in the conditions of drastic simultaneous global reformatting of the external environment must also change the principles of the production processes organization is the basis of scientific research. Statistical analysis (data grouping method, functional expediency method, discriminant analysis method, data preprocessing method (chain substitutions), intuitive informal analysis method are research methods. The sequence of stages in the implementation of the principles in the process of production organization is defined. The influence of the external environment on the introduction of the principles of the organization of production processes is investigated. The expediency of applying the principle of autonomy is theoretically justified for the preservation of production systems. It is shown that the introduction of the principle of autonomy allows focusing on individual stages of the product’s life cycle. These stages can be formed around aspects of added value. Returning control over the production of a minimally viable market product and preserving the psychophysical protection of the owner of the mill is the goal of introducing the autonomy of production processes Aspects of lean production, diversification of logistics flows, personalization of production are new values when introducing autonomy. The autonomy of production processes is relevant when implementing the personalization of orders. The principle of autonomy involves the application of technologies and solutions that allow production processes to work autonomously, controlled until the moment of obtaining sufficient added value for market consumption. The definition of "autonomy as a principle of organization of production processes" is formalized. An algorithm for making a decision on the expediency and effectiveness of applying the principles of production organization is proposed. The introduction of the principle of autonomy into the system of principles of the organization of production processes is the next stage of the development of production systems and their adaptation to changes in the external environment. The results formalize changes in approaches to the organization of production.
