Economic Synergy, 2023, issue 4, 178-186 Abstract: Innovative development of road transport is necessary, because motor transport is a significant branch of the economy, and its innovative development is a source of economic growth, contributing to the creation of new jobs, logistics and other related sectors. Innovative technologies in the field of motor vehicles are also designed to help reduce emissions of harmful substances and improve the environmental situation in cities and on roads, because efficient electric and hybrid cars help reduce fuel consumption and harmful emissions. Also, the motor transport industry plays an important role in ensuring the mobility of the population and the development of regions, so innovations in the field of transport can improve the availability and efficiency of transport services for citizens. Ukrainian road transport enterprises seek to gain a competitive advantage in the world market, and this is possible if they invest in innovations and new technologies, which will contribute to the growth of export volumes and the attraction of foreign investments. Innovations in this field can also improve road safety, and the development and implementation of crash prevention systems, automatic braking systems and other technologies can help reduce the number of road accidents and injuries. In general, the innovative development of road transport has a significant impact on improving the economic, ecological and social development of Ukraine, as well as increasing the country's competitiveness on the world market. The article examines the main factors influencing the innovative development of road transport enterprises of Ukraine in the conditions of military aggression of the Russian Federation. The trends and difficulties of innovative development are also determined in order to develop ways to overcome them. A conclusion is made regarding the peculiarities of the implementation of innovative solutions by the enterprises of the automotive industry of Ukraine in the conditions of limited financial resources, which was caused by the consequences of the military aggression of the Russian Federation. Prospective directions for further research on the given topic are identified and their necessity is substantiated.
