Abstract: The article examines the nature of conflicts using the example of IT business, which is complex and covers professional, personal, and organizational conditions for the emergence of conflicts. It is revealed that an effective tool for resolving conflicts in IT business is negotiations as a method of voluntary communication to resolve the conflict and satisfy interests. It is noted that negotiations are universal in nature, as they allow taking into account interests and resolving the conflict under different conditions, in particular, negotiations can be organized online taking into account the different localization of the conflict subjects (IT business employees often work remotely). Negotiations are identified as an effective, high-quality, and universal tool for resolving conflicts in IT business. It is emphasized that negotiations and mediation can be used in both large and small companies, for both internal and external conflicts. It is noted that, taking into account the special emotional state of people during the war in Ukraine, mediation can be the main alternative for resolving disputes between companies, where it is possible to use a mediator as an intermediary who can ensure the mediation process without even holding meetings with both parties at the same time, but acting as an intermediary between them in the process of communications and finding a solution. Attention is focused on the need to form corporate norms and standards regarding conflicts in IT companies.
