Integration of lean technologies and principles of the circular economy into enterprise management to ensure sustainable development and improve resource efficiency

Abstract: The article provides a brief overview and summary of the accumulated experience regarding the possibilities of using Lean technologies and circular economy principles to improve the efficiency of business management and ensure sustainable development. The purpose of the study is to systematize the theoretical aspects of the impact of the implementation of lean manufacturing and circular economy concepts on performance, resource efficiency, and sustainability in modern business practice. The objectives of the article are achieved through the application of a set of general scientific and special scientific research methods, which allow for a comprehensive review of the impact of the concepts and technologies under consideration on various aspects of production and commercial activities and the principles of management organization at the level of individual business entities. In particular, the article substantiates the feasibility of introducing the principles of sustainable development as a modern standard of strategic management and reveals the key aspects of management that correspond to the principles of sustainable development of business entities. The essence and features of Lean technologies, their role in increasing resource efficiency and improving the results of commercial activities of enterprises are clarified, and the mechanisms for promoting these technologies to ensure sustainable development standards are revealed in detail. The content and classical model of the concept of lean production, its key tools and advantages of practical implementation in business activities are highlighted. The role of Lean technologies in the practical implementation of circular economy principles is outlined, and its mechanism and role in ensuring business sustainability are clarified. The synergistic relationship between the concept of lean production and the circular economy in the context of sustainable development of business entities is revealed. The practical significance of the article lies in summarizing the existing scientific work on the use of Lean technologies and circular economy principles in strategies to improve the management efficiency of enterprises and firms, which can be useful in the context of improving the performance and ensuring the sustainable development of domestic business entities in a turbulent external environment.
