Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to provide a scientific substantiation of the strategic foundations for developing business resilience of healthcare institutions as actors within the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Ukrainian medical services market, as well as to identify the key determinants of their resilience. The research methodology is based on a combination of theoretical generalization, analysis of scientific sources, and empirical assessment. The information base of the study was formed by the results of a survey of 47 respondents representing both the private and municipal healthcare sectors. The article examines the strategic foundations for developing business resilience of entrepreneurship in the Ukrainian medical services market under conditions of healthcare system transformation, wartime challenges, workforce shortages, financial instability, and digitalization of management processes. It is substantiated that the modern medical services market should be considered as an entrepreneurial ecosystem. The study found that all the examined determinants have a significant impact on the business resilience of healthcare institutions. The highest importance was attributed to workforce resilience, operational crisis preparedness, financial resilience, digital maturity, and patient-centeredness. This confirms that business resilience cannot be reduced solely to financial stability; rather, it represents a multidimensional managerial capability that encompasses the workforce, operational, financial, digital, strategic, partnership-based, and innovation capacities of a healthcare organization. The article proves that strategic management of business resilience should take into account the type of healthcare institution, its organizational and legal form, sources of financing, level of digital maturity, workforce potential, and degree of integration into the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
