Abstract: The Enhanced Security Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) embodies a significant advancement in the design and deployment of secure, scalable, and efficient electoral systems. Conventional paper-based voting and legacy EVMs are increasingly inadequate in mitigating vulnerabilities such as hardware tampering, unauthorized ballot casting, data integrity breaches, and logistical constraints. This project addresses these limitations through the integration of embedded systems engineering, secure communication protocols, and real-time data processing mechanisms. Central to the system architecture is the ESP32 microcontroller, selected for its dual-core Xtensa® LX6 processor, integrated IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 support, and extensive GPIO interface compatibility. The ESP32 operates as the system’s primary controller, managing input/output peripherals, executing cryptographic routines for data integrity, and facilitating secure wireless transmission of voting data. This design ensures end-to-end system reliability, enhanced tamper resistance, and real-time operability within mission-critical electoral environments.
