Abstract:
The advent of quantum computing poses significant threats to classical cryptographic systems, notably RSA encryption [1]. This paper explores the simulation of quantum attacks on RSA using Qiskit, focusing on the implementation of Shor's algorithm [1], [2]. Through detailed case studies, circuit analyses, and performance evaluations, the feasibility and implications of quantum-based RSA attacks are demonstrated. The study underscores the urgency for transitioning to quantum-resistant cryptographic schemes [7].
