Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized content generation across media, education, marketing, communication, and religion. However, the same technology harbors significant ethical risks when misused. This paper explores the darker dimensions of AI-generated content, including misinformation, cultural distortion, psychological manipulation, and the erosion of truth and trust through deepfakes, synthetic sermons, and auto-plagiarized papers. Special attention is on the misuse of AI in academic and religious settings. Drawing from current theoretical frameworks and literature, this article presents a critical evaluation of the moral implications, potential harms, and the urgent need for ethical oversight.
