Abstract: Ethnomedicine is the medical system of the common man, employing plants and natural ingredients to cure a wide range of ailments. This article explores the concept of ethnomedicine, the causes of illness listed in ethnomedical accounts, various components of ethnomedicine, how ethnomedicine is practiced, and its uses and misuses.
