Abstract: That in this Research Paper the author has postulated an overall scenario of the position and role of artificial intelligence in detecting the cyber-crimes in India. A country where the population to police ratio is extremely disproportionate, in which detecting crimes and solving crime mysteries by providing justice to the victims and catching the perpetrators of crime is a very tedious job which requires heightened caution and meticulous precision, in which the Artificial Intelligence has acted as a wonderful and useful tool to curb, predict and catch the perpetrators of crimes, which has not only made the job of the investigating agencies bit hassle free but has also enhanced the quality and efficiency of their investigation.
