Abstract: This essay looks primarily at Human Rights Advocacy and Campaigns in Amnesty International, in Nigeria since 2009. The author will define Human Rights, elucidate on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), address Human Rights Advocacy, give a brief history of Amnesty International, state accounts of human rights violations in Nigeria and Amnesty International’s key campaigns to uphold human rights. The challenges of human rights advocacy will also be enumerated alongside recommendations.
