Abstract: Genre fiction has exploded in popularity in recent years, often leaving so-called “literary fiction†playing catch-up. The reason? People are hungry for stories that reflect their realities, challenge old tropes, and spotlight fresh voices. These alternative narratives break away from the usual patterns, diving into marginalized experiences, unconventional storytelling, and exciting new ideas.
