Abstract: The use of bio pesticides, such as garlic (Allium sativum L.), offers a promising alternative to synthetic chemical pesticides in managing sap-sucking and arachnid pests in tomato production. Despite laboratory and field evidence supporting the efficacy of garlic-based bio pesticides, adoption among smallholder farmers remains limited. This study investigates farmer knowledge, perceptions, and practices regarding garlic-based bio pesticides in Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe. The research aims to identify factors influencing adoption and provide insights into promoting sustainable pest management practices among smallholder farmers.
