Abstract: Nowadays nobody can deny the application of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and the internet to serve human beings in a lot of fields. Therefore the application of ICT and the internet has been increasing in such leaps and bounds rate that the vast of language teachers must consider how to make use of ICT and the internet in their language teaching. This study is with an aim to find out the viewpoints of the teachers teaching English of DIP12A Intake at Ho Chi Minh City Open University relating to the application of ICT and the internet in English language teaching and its advantages and disadvantages. Questionnaires and interviews were designed and administered to collect the data. SPSS and excel software was used to analyze the collected data. Based on the findings, some recommendations will be raised so as to draw certain lessons to maximize the application of ICT and the internet in English language teaching.
