Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, 2015, vol. 4

Abstract: In this paper we will discuss some of the economic factors and their impact on the level of criminality causes that lead to economic crisis, adding unemployment and poverty, and the consequences of this phenomenon, especially in connection with the crime. The purpose of this paper is to assess how the criminal behaviour and the justice system are affected from economic decline that affects the country. The cost of crime estimates can play an important role in helping the government in the fight against crime. The money which is spent from the state budget can be used in the evaluation of crime reduction policies. Important task of the criminal justice system is the reduction of crime and fear of crime as economic and social costs.
