The Special and Specialized Technical Vocabulary in Albanian Language

Gani Pllana and Sadete Pllana

Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, 2016, vol. 5

Abstract: In the conditions of rapid development of science and technology, the cooperation of scientific-technical language with standard Albanian is continuing with a higher intensity than before. In particular, we notice a burgeoning enrichment of the technical vocabulary terminology, due to the birth and formation of fields and subfields of new technics and technology, as in computing, mechatronics, telemetry; concepts, many of which, on the one hand, are marked with names of the languages of origin, mainly from English, and, in turn, meet their needs with the lexical dough of the native language (common words, being raised into terms), by means of its word formation, as well as activation of other substrates, such as the terms phrase. The technical terminology in particular and the language of science and technology in general are areas in which the impact of society awareness on them find more suitable conditions to be realized.
