Abstract:
A detailed description of the mechanized techniques now being used by the Technical Information Service of the Atomic Energy Commission in the preparation of the several indexes for Nuclear Science Abstracts. These innovations which make use of standard equipment have resulted in substantial reductions in the time and cost required to prepare author (both personal and corporate) subject, and report number indexes for NSA. The new techniques have also proved of value in preparing cumulative indexes, as well as those for individual issues.
