A note on descriptors

Abstract:
A curious inconsistency in the contention that descriptors are different from Uniterms is described. In the actual operation of a descriptor system, Uniterms play an important, if not critical, role. In fact, the descriptor itself is dispensable, its sole purpose being to code Uniterms.
